Produce Pay is a "fin-tech" startup that provides short term cash flow solutions and an electronic trading platform to “help farmers feed the word!” We are rapidly expanding and are looking to hire a human resources manager. This person will be responsible for a team of roughly 50 employees that will continue to grow exponentially. The HR manager will take the lead in building out the HR department, helping us continue to craft a great company culture and be responsible for updating policies and procedures for the ProducePay team.
-Conducts recruitment effort for all positions; writes and places advertisements; works with hiring managers to screen and interview candidates; conducts reference checking; extends job offers; conducts new-employee orientations and onboarding; conducts employee relations counseling; conducts exit interviews
-Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures; performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, and annual re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness
-Implements and annually updates the compensation program; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; conducts annual salary surveys; analyzes compensation; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary
-Oversee employee culture and moral including event planning, culture club, team lunches, and feedback sessions
-Act as a point of contact for all HR related issues, leave, terminations, etc.
-Process payroll including bonuses, commissions, and stipends
-Create various reports as requested by upper management
-Oversee and track paid time off policy
-Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records
Experience and Skills
-5+ years HR experience
-Be goal-driven, focused, independent, and have a "can do" attitude
