The role:
The Client Development Director serves a key role in a designated region (East, Central, or West) to support the “Expand” component of the LAER model (Land, Adoption, Expansion, Renewal). Working in close conjunction with the region’s Account Managers and Regional Services Director, the CDD will identify and leverage new and existing resources to develop successful networking relationships to achieve revenue goals.
Specifically, the CDD will engage (and, ultimately, activate) eligible university faculty members as
new end-users on the ProctorU system. These activations will be vetted, approved, and measured by the General Manager of the applicable Region.
The things you’ll do:
- Daily prospecting of eligible faculty members in assigned targets
- Gain information on new and developing programs/faculty/users that will lead to increased revenue and adoption of new services lines within current and potential high value partners.
- Work inbound leads and conduct extensive prospecting to identify and contact new opportunities
- Educate high value partners/prospects on ProctorU suite of services
- Coordinate efforts with Account Managers within selected institutions
- Collect and analyze data on improving average sales cycle
- Create and deliver sales presentations at institutions and conferences
- Maintain and reports quarterly numbers to Regional Services Director and General Manager
- Forecast and track key account metrics and region metrics
- Maintain good working relationships with existing clients to enhance client retention and new sales through referrals and references.
The skills you’ll need:
- 3-7 years experience in an account expansion role or similar Customer Engagement role: exceptional leadership skills with the ability to influence others
- A proven track record and demonstrated success selling and consulting on solution platform/ SAAS / Cloud enterprise class software and services to enterprise class companies
- Strong execution focus and ability to develop solutions and strategies to further accelerate growth
- Executive level interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly build credibility
- Ability to foresee, interpret and rapidly respond to market changes by adjusting strategies and realigning priorities accordingly
- Strong business acumen, perseverance, tenacity and resourcefulness
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to oversee multiple accounts at a time
- Willingness to travel
