The Role:
The User Experience Architect will interact with Product Managers, Product Owners, and Software Engineers in an agile environment in order to lead the definition and development of the user experience and design methodology for our products and services based on market requirements, client feedback, technology capabilities and overall design expertise.
The things you’ll do:
- Conduct user interviews to develop and maintain end user profiles and personas
- Employ user-centric design methodologies to develop usability tests; evaluate test results and apply the findings to user interface design guidelines
- Create detailed requirements from high level user stories
- Translate user requirements and use cases into user interface designs
- Meet internal and external client’s needs and requirements by researching, conceiving, creating wire frames, sketching, prototyping, and mocking up user experiences across all ProctorU digital products
- Translate concepts into wireframes and mockups that lead to intuitive user experiences
- Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces, when applicable
- Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions
- Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features
The skills you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Exceptional design skills with the ability to assimilate feedback
- In-depth, practical knowledge of user-centered design principles and best practices, user experience methodologies, web 2.0 and mobile industry standards and trends
- Expertise in UX and Adobe Creative Suite software required
- HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills are also required to bring designs to life
- Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design
- A solid grasp of user-centered design and testing methodologies, subsystems, and usability and accessibility concerns
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients
