Practice Manager

Position Overview: Reporting to the VP of Services, you will be responsible for managing one of our enterprise and corporate security services team. The team provides offensive and defensive advisory services to the Fortune 500 and venture-backed start-ups with a focus on red team, purple team, defensive enablement, threat hunting, and incident response. We need a well rounded individual who not only has a deep technical background in offensive and defensive cybersecurity activities, but who also has a deep commitment to their team's career development, a fanatical obsession with customer success, and a relentless restlessness to strategically position and improve the product security practice's core service offerings.

From software hacking to hardware hacking, we help secure everything from cryptocurrency exchanges and space telescopes to autonomous vehicles and the electric grid. Core responsibilities:
  • Drive performance and manage by objectives and key results
  • Manage a services team of 7 to 9 direct reports
  • Maniacal focus on client satisfaction during service delivery
  • Oversee team's engagement schedule and resource utilization
  • Enhance, improve, and streamline product security service line offerings
  • Grow, develop, and retain direct reports
  • Assist sales in scoping new business opportunities

Accountable for:
  • Quarterly customer net promoter score objectives and key results
  • Quarterly team utilization and gross margin objectives and key results
  • Quarterly practice improvement objectives and key results
  • Quarterly team career development objectives and key results
  • Quarterly team retention objectives and key results

Required qualifications:
  • 5+ years of industry experience with a deep understanding of the cybersecurity space
  • Familiarity with NIST CSF and other governance models
  • Familiarity with Google Beyond Corp and other advanced defensive design models
  • Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, purple teams, and various detection response solutions
  • Familiarity with offensive security, advanced attack and pen, and red teams
  • Familiarity with threat hunting, incident readiness, and incident response
  • Prior experience in an outward and customer facing role
  • Prior experience in people and project management
  • Prior experience managing a technical team

Desired qualifications:
  • Prior cyber security consulting experience
  • Prior experience working alongside product teams
  • Bachelors or masters in computer science, engineering, math, or physics
