Position Overview: Praetorian is actively seeking an IT Manager who is both a zero and a one with the humility to perform day-to-day tactical support and the experience to provide strategic planning and executive partnership. We’re a modern tech stack, with a cloud-based architecture, and Google Beyond Corp design model. As the Manager of IT Operations, you will be responsible for maintaining and creating infrastructure to support Praetorian's growth. Duties will include supporting Praetorian's cloud infrastructure, users hardware and software stacks, incident monitoring, and building processes and procedures that allow us to securely scale. Core responsibilities:
- Perform tactical activities such as desktop and cloud support for end users
- Assist people operations with on-boarding and off-boarding employees
- Maintain an up-to-date cyber risk strategy based on current business risk analysis
- Support and provide information security guidance to product development teams
- Maintain a secure environment where the protection of customer data is paramount
- Standardize and streamline tech stacks across physical offices, desktop, and cloud environments
- Define, communicate, and enforce information technology policies and procedures
- Support sales in documenting and sharing security control standards with our customers
- Maintain capital and operational expenses budget in conjunction with business requirements
Accountable for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the environment
- Ensuring the service level agreements for end-user support are met
- Operating information technology within the allocated defined as a percent of revenue
Required qualifications:
- Current practical, "hands-on" experience with modern tech stacks and architectures
- 4+ years of experience with SaaS solutions and architectures
- 8+ years of experience in IT operations and IT security
- Prior capital and operational budget responsibilities
- Prior experience in a hyper-growth and/or start-up environment
- Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems
Desired qualifications:
- Experience with Google's Beyond Corp design model
- Experience with cloud infrastructure such as Google Compute
- Experience with micro services and container technologies such as Docker
- Experience with cloud identify management technologies such as OKTA and Yubikeys
- Experience with cloud end-point detection and response products such as Carbon Black
- Experience with cloud based productivity apps such as GSuite, Github, Salesforce, Marketo, etc.
- Experience with wireless cloud infrastructure such as Unifi
- Experience with desktop support including Mac OSX and JAMF
- Familiarity with NIST Cybersecurity Framework
