PAY: $11/hour
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The main purpose and function of this position is to provide Premier Customer Service Standards to Owners and Guests, and ensure that Premier rental accommodations at Portofino Island Resort are maintained to the highest quality standards and kept in an excellent condition.
KEY DUTIES:
- Acknowledges and greets guests in public spaces with a warm, friendly greeting.
- Perform daily inventory counts of Premier rental Accommodations, according to arrival and departure schedule.
- Unload linen and place neatly in the storage room.
- Deliver inventory item requests to the appropriate unit assigned by the Senior Houseman in a timely manner.
- Assist the Senior Houseman with month end inventory count.
- Assist the Senior Houseman with month end damaged inventory count.
- Assist the Senior Houseman with inventory distribution.
- Comply with all resort safety guidelines.
- Pick up ground litter around the resort or whatever visible.
- Remove trash and maintain cleanliness of the housekeeping office.
- Maintain a cleanliness of the ground level laundry chute area.
- Check each floor to ensure dirty linens are not left by housekeeping due to the linen chutes being locked.
- Bring any lost and found items to the designated area.
- Report inventory damages to the Senior Houseman or Inventory Control Manager immediately.
- Deliver dirty comforters and pillow shams to the housekeeping office.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
Occasional duties or projects which may be performed at irregular intervals:
- ·Assist the Senior Houseman and Inventory Control Manager with projects.

- Customer Service: Must deliver a superior level of service with a goal of exceeding owners and guest expectations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Educational and/or equivalence in experience requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Specialized or technical educational requirements:
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions when furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
Certification or licensing requirements:
Specialized equipment or machines used in the course of the duties of the position.
- Washing machine and the utilization and responsibility involved in the operation of driving the golf carts.
Physical demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, and is required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, bend, and walk for long periods of time. The employee will be required to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- This position demands good physical and mental health. The houseman will be required to lift, carry, walk, sit, push, pull and work a flexible schedule, must be able to move continuously during work hours and able to lift and/or carry 50 to 75 pounds.
