Salty Beach Outfitters Seaside/Lead Sales Associate

  • POSITION STATUS: Seasonal Full Time

    PAY RATE: $12/hour

    Shifts will vary - hours of operation 10 am - 9 pm.  Must work nights and weekends.

    Summary of the main function/purpose of the position:

    The purpose of this position is to generate and maximize revenue for  Salty Beach Outfitters retail store located at Seaside, FL . As a Lead Sales Associate, you will assist the store manager in achieving sales goals.

    Key Principal duties/responsibilities:
     
    • Initiate contact with customer via face-to-face (10-5 rule), phone, e-mail, or Facebook
    • Create positive rapport through conversation and positive personality
    • Investigate what customer needs/desires by listening and outfitting 
    • Assist guest on choosing appropriate merchandise based on wants and needs
    • Create guest profiles
    • Enter guest information into Artisan
    • Assist store manager in creative ways to excite the staff with sales contests and promotions 
    • Assist store manager with sales training of staff
    • Assist store manager with reviewing month end sales and commission with staff 

    Occasional duties or projects which may be performed at irregular intervals:
     
    • Processing Shipment, Cleaning, Merchandising

    Accountability: Areas in which the position is accountable/responsible:
     
    • Records: This position will require that the employee maintain a specified SPH.

    Supervisory Responsibility:

    • Train, advise, and assist employees through the entire sales process

    • Ability to stand for long periods of time
    • Flexibility to work varying scheduled and call-in shifts

    Specialized equipment or machines used in the course of the duties of the position. 
     
    • Computer, printer, calculator and standard office equipment and machines as required.

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, and is required to talk and hear.
