POSITION SUMMARY: HELP SOMEONE FIND THE CAREER THEY LOVE

The Penn Foster Coordinator is the in-person, on-site guide for assisting employees of our partner, a large online retailer, choose between training opportunities aligned to in-demand career pathways. You’ll help them align their dreams with available academic opportunities through Penn Foster’s extensive training programs and help make sure they’re engaged throughout their coursework. From the start of their journey through the completion of their program you'll be their primary contact and guide, finding great reward as an integral part of launching new careers.

Your role as the Penn Foster Coordinator is to create and nurture an atmosphere which builds and sustains excitement around the academic programs at the on-site facility. Success in this role means you are a self-starter, work well independently and as part of a team, have excellent communication skills (written and verbal), and have strong organizational skills. You should strive to influence persistence with the end goal of preparing employees to master new techniques, build their skills, and advance their careers. Essential Job Functions: 

●      Serve as primary point of contact for on-site activities.
●      Coordinate efforts to discuss offerings, generate excitement and adoption of programs, improve onsite participation, and participant outcomes.
●      Lead interested participants in career exploration and discovery during one on one sessions.
●      Host events within the facility ranging from webinars to meet and greets. 
●      Lead individual and group training and upskilling opportunities including helping to point participants to the appropriate Penn Foster support services. 
●      Offer encouragement and support  to employees in order to  help them to build the confidence required to successfully complete their goals. 
●      Provide feedback to off-site personnel regarding onsite activity and performance
●      Collaborate with off-site personnel to track results for continuous optimization of the on-site environment.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

●      An Associate's or Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School diploma required
●      Group facilitation or discussion experience is a plus
●      Excellent computer and technical skills are required, including knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite; Strong Excel skills is a plus
●      Excellent written and verbal communication skills
●      Must be a quick thinker with the ability to multitask
●      Strong commitment to assisting learners to achieve their full potential
●      Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently
●      Must be comfortable interacting with and presenting to audiences of varying backgrounds
●      Strong organizational skills with the ability to advance special projects and new business development at the direction of management
