Line Cook

We’re on the hunt for a line cook at our SE Division location. It may sound cliche, but working as a line cook for Pok Pok Restaurants is pretty unique, compared to other places. So don’t get too hung up on “the normal way” of doing things and be open to approaching tasks and expectations with an open mind and positive attitude. And while having some previous experience may give you a solid foundation to work from, don’t worry if all you have to start out is a few knife handling skills, a current Multnomah County Food Handlers card, and the desire to learn.

o Someone who can thrive in the fast-paced flow and controlled chaos of a high-volume, highly functioning kitchen.

o Multitasking skills that rival a hyperactive octopus.
o Top-notch quality control, especially when it comes to portion sizes and exact measurements. We’ve created a distinct menu and its consistency is paramount. 

Working Conditions:
This job is physically demanding. You’ll be standing or walking for most of your shift, bending, stooping, balancing, and reaching throughout the day. The work space is noisy and tight and can be hot and stressful at times. You must be able to follow printed recipes and communicate quickly. It’s not for the faint of heart, but it’s a satisfying and exciting job for the right person.

o A wage of $13.50/hr, paid bi-weekly, + tips
