We are looking for a Graphic Designer (senior or mid-level depending on experience) to join our in-house Brand Creative team. In-house teams have a reputation for doing mostly stale, production-style work, but at Podium we have the resources and the talent to be thoughtful, strategic, and inventive. Creative work is valued and brand is a key differentiator in our market. From our office space and company apparel, to our event collateral and email campaigns, we prioritize good design in everything we do.
Each designer on our team has a distinct set of project types that they own. This role will be the “Brand/Internal” designer.
What you will be doing:
- Own design of the following types of projects: company apparel (we custom design 50+ apparel pieces each year), brand and product illustration (hand drawn, organic style), thought leadership, internal company materials/invites/signage, and other similar brand-centric projects
- Understand the Podium brand guidelines and maintain consistency across channels
- Assist Art Director in developing core brand assets
- Strategize with internal stakeholders to determine your own projects and priorities
- Proactively work to reduce friction and contribute to a positive working environment
What you should have:
- Must provide a design portfolio that shows a breadth of real world experience and style. Stand out portfolios will include examples of contemporary apparel design, illustration, and web design.
- 3-5 years experience preferred but not required; selection will be based on quality and relevance of portfolio rather than years of experience/education
- Must have a good understanding of typography, layout, hierarchy, and design trends
- Must be able to communicate well—in person with team members and through design
- Must be able to give and receive feedback in a humble, constructive way
- Must work well in a fast-paced environment that requires flexibility, ownership, and focus
