Strategic Account Executive

We’re looking for closers. If you love chasing and closing deals, you are the right candidate for us. Podium Account Executives develop genuine relationships with prospects, understand their needs, and sells to those needs. We’re looking for sales reps who are winners, having shown success exceeding quotas in a previous sales role.

What you will be doing: 
  • Manage the entire sales cycle: conducting sales calls and meetings, negotiating contracts, and providing customers with valuable insights and offerings as part of an ongoing, consultative relationship
  • Close new business through relationship based selling 
  • Master the ability to promote the Podium story 
  • Achieve and exceed quarterly quotas 
  • Align Podium solutions with prospect business goals/needs 
  • Collaborate closely with your Account Development Representative to help create qualified leads
  • Partner with internal diverse team members to improve account growth
  • Stay informed about our industry and the technology landscape to ensure you are a trusted resource to prospects and customers
  • Attend essential industry events and conferences

What you should have: 
  • Track record selling SaaS solutions to mid-market or enterprise level businesses while exceeding quota
  • Demonstrated leadership ability (we want natural leaders) 
  • Experience opening up new accounts with phone calls, emails, trade shows, referrals, and other results oriented methods. 
  • Confidence speaking with prospects of all levels (including CEO’s and VPs) 
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment

What we hope you have: 
  • Bachelor's degree 
  • 4-6 years B2B software sales experience 
  • Success in opening new markets and closing new business 
  • Over-achievement in past positions 
  • Proven prospecting and sales cycle management skills
  • ​Exceptional presentation skills and/or public speaking experience
  • Strategic, consultative, and analytical sales approach, with focus on building sustainable partnerships with clients​
  • Willingness to travel to customer meetings and events
