Playground Global - Infrastructure Support Engineer

Playground Global seeks a personable, technically strong individual that can augment our team as an Infrastructure Support Engineer. Responsibilities: Maintain network environment  - Monitoring system stability and performance.  - Ensuring 24x7 operations.  - Act as an externally-facing point of contact to facilitate handling of problems and maintain relations with network peers.  - Act as an internally-facing point of contact to escalate technical issues, and communicate network status.  - Configure Firewalls, switches, routers, VPN, and wifi equipment.  - Perform necessary firmware upgrades.  - Interact with vendors for support and RMAs. Perform asset management inventories Share end user support:  - Printers (networked, or otherwise)  - Network access (wired and WiFi)  - IP desk phones and soft clients  - Audio/video conference room equipment  - Manage communications & outreach to end users (compose announcements, etc.)

Required Skills: Works well in a small dynamic team Friendly, approachable, and diplomatic Creative, innovative, and fearless in solving problems Available for occasional after-hours work: moves, adds, changes, and upgrades. Experience with standard network change management and configuration policies. Experience with Unix/Linux administration is preferred. Experience and flexibility regarding shared on-call responsibilities. 3+ years of experience with enterprise/IT level network infrastructure and/or ISP network operations center/tier 1-2 support. Wireless network troubleshooting Knowledge of desktop and server hardware Familiarity with the installation and use of printers, networked and otherwise. Familiarity with Windows 7, 8, & 10 network and printer configuration Be familiar with Mac OS X or Linux for use as your native environment Knowledge of DNS and DHCP - configuration, standard tools, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with the use of Google Apps and Gmail.

Additionally Desired Skills: Aruba Wireless administration Fujitsu Lightwave equipment implementation and configuration Google Apps management/admin/domain migration Windows Server system administration experience ShoreTel IP Phone/PBX management Server monitoring and logging with Nagios, Observium, ELK stack Experience with IPv6 Scripting and/or programming Infoblox administration Experience with 802.1x
