People Operations Manager

The People Operations Manager will be a key member of the people team with a focus on the back-end people systems and operations which support the growing Plastiq team.

As People Operations Manager, you will embody Plastiq’s values and use them as a guide, collaborating across diverse groups and stakeholders to find solutions that will work for us today and can scale into the future. 

Your Role

In this role, you will design processes that support key People functions, such as on-boarding/off-boarding, benefits administration, compliance, and immigration.  You will work with our existing systems (ADP, Sequoia) while staying aware of new solutions in the market, and make recommendations if our process or systems need to be updated. 

You will design and lead the company-wide communications efforts to the Plastiq team concerning any People Operations topics, including Open Enrollment, benefits changes or updates, compliance requirements, and process changes.  You will also provide one-on-one support to individual team members who have questions about any people operations issues, including benefits and immigration.


You will also build the foundation for People Operations analytics and reporting, using your natural curiosity to detect and understand trends.  You will provide regular reports to Plastiq’s Leadership Squad on your findings, and will handle ad hoc requests for data and analysis.

About You

You have 4+ years of experience working on People teams, and your teammates would describe you as detail-oriented, curious, and fun.  You love the systems and process work of HR and would call yourself a data nerd (who maybe secretly would like to be a detective!). You have experience onboarding and offboarding employees with ADP and managing benefits through the Sequoia platform, or equivalent systems.  When you’re not heads down developing processes or playing with data, you provide attentive customer service to team members who have questions.  You have experience or interest in managing the immigration process for H1-B and green card candidates, and know how to partner with legal professionals.  You’re looking for a fast-paced, high-impact opportunity where you can play an influential leadership role, learn a lot, and design your own path forward.
