Cebu Site Director

PicnicHealth is a San Francisco, California-based, venture capital-funded healthcare and technology company.  Our mission is to structure the world’s medical data to make it useful.  We work directly with patients to collect, digitize, and manage their complete medical records, empowering them with control over their care through a personal health timeline.  Through this work we’re building the data sets that power some of today’s most cutting edge medical research.  We’re on track for rapid growth in the next year, coming off of our recent Grand Prize finish in Google Cloud’s Machine Learning Startup Competition.

The Role
Our VP of Operations recently joins us from Uber, and she's focused on hiring the best team. We’re looking for a Site Director to build out and oversee operations for our PicnicHealth office in Cebu, Philippines. The Cebu office handles the company's medical record collection, medical record processing, and customer service.  The team will include nurses (processors), collection agents, and customer support staff. These operations are critical to the services that PicnicHealth provides for our customers.  The ideal leader can help the Company build site operations from the ground up, leverage data to make decisions, focus on results, and execute in fast-paced environments.

  • Overall management of site, including but not limited to providing business leadership, administrative leadership (facilities, etc.) and people leadership
  • Build and grow site operations - the Cebu team will be growing rapidly over the next year!
  • Work with CEO, CTO and VP of Operations to set goals, develop plans and execute quickly
  • Identify, hire, and build the right team to execute operations
    • Hire, train, and mentor team members that can operate effectively and efficiently while maintaining high quality
  • Define and set SLAs and KPIs to measure operations
  • Prioritize onsite projects that optimize operations
  • Continuously improve operations by leveraging data and insights
  • Work with product teams to improve tools and systems through quantifiable feedback
  • Develop creative solutions to problems that won’t have immediate technology solutions
  • Build and manage site P&L, keeping costs competitive and within budget
  • Manage staff and facilities in compliance with local labor laws
  • Establish culture, brand, and mission of PicnicHealth in the office and the community 

  • Fluent in English preferred
  • 10+ years of operations experience 
  • 5+ years of people management experience with at least 2 years of experience managing teams of 100+ people (rolling up to you)
  • Experience managing managers
  • Experience defining and hiring teams (both functional and operational)
  • Experience working in the Philippines, especially with at least 100+ member teams
  • Exceptional verbal / written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical literacy - leveraging operational data is core to how you make decisions
  • Strong planning and organizational skills - able to prioritize multiple large-scale projects with competing deadlines
  • Handle ambiguity well
  • Live and work in Cebu, Philippines
  • Ability to travel to the US as needed
  • Experience at a BPO preferred
  • Previous work experience in healthcare services or clinical background preferred
  • MBA or engineering graduate degree preferred
