Field Marketing, Director - North America

Piano is seeking an experienced field marketer with exceptional planning skills and a demonstrated track record of outstanding planning and execution. You will work closely with our global marketing team in Toronto, Canada and our US-based, North American sales teams to develop and execute local prospect and customer marketing initiatives that drive sales pipeline and customer engagement. You will own and manage an account based marketing plan by region, while helping to inform our inbound marketing efforts by region and account type. As our local marketing representative, you will act as our brand steward while ensuring our customer experience is upheld across all interactions and touch points. You will collaborate with the wider marketing team to build on our measurable, repeatable and scalable approach for almost all efforts and be the advocate for our North American sales team. You aren’t afraid of experimentation and work to test and fail fast with a goal to optimize results. 


  • Identify, develop, manage and support marketing initiatives to support regional sales stakeholders including events, campaigns and partnerships to generate sales pipeline
  • Forecast, measure and analyze impact of programs on sales cycles and be able to demonstrate event and campaign progress and regional results
  • Partner with account teams to support territory planning and sales alignment within region and work to manage and grow the associated ideal customer account and contact list 
  • Work with the marketing operations manager to ensure local adoption and process adherence throughout the funnel and across functions and systems 
  • Own end-to-end execution of all regional events and manage regional field marketing budget, spend and report on KPIs and MROI
  • Live and breathe marketing best practices, while demonstrating the value to sales and other cross functional teams
  • Develop localized content from general messaging framework and content map to deliver the Piano customer experience at a local level, providing lead generation and value throughout the buyer's journey for accounts in region. 


  • 7+ years in B2B marketing/ SaaS event management, in-market activation/ field marketing
  • Proven event project management experience and outstanding organizational skills
  • Experience developing regional plans to support lead generation and revenue goals
  • Working knowledge of sales and marketing automation process and tools
  • Analytical capacity to understand data, patterns and trends, and marketing attribution and closed loop reporting 
  • Demonstrated ability to build highly effective working relationships with sales and decentralized marketing teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, flexibility and ‘yes-and’ attitude
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines
  • Willingness to travel as needed up to 30%
