Role Overview

As a Business Development Associate you will play a critical role in supporting the Partnerships team to scale our revenue generation strategy, enabling us to upskill NGOs and social enterprises in under-resourced communities worldwide. Our team is international, diverse and some of the most inspirational, tenacious and committed people you can imagine. Your work will support the growth engine of our organization and ultimately lead to impacting thousands of other social impact organizations around the globe.

You will report to the VP of Partnerships. This is a part-time role, about 20hrs/week. Remote candidates encouraged to apply. 

Responsibilities

  • Generate 50+ leads per quarter based on specific criteria. 
  • Write briefs to prepare senior staff for external meetings/calls. 
  • Support senior staff with conference planning, including drafting conference session notes, helping to schedule high value meetings and preparing staff to participate effectively. 
  • Modify and/or create presentation decks to be presented to potential partners. 
  • Modify and/or help craft written proposals for partnership opportunities or RFPs.

Your day to day responsibilities will cover the following:

LEAD GENERATION  
  • Identify the databases that you need to generate leads for the partnership team.
  • Generate minimum of 50 leads/quarter across North America and Europe.
  • Craft initial communication to leads as first step in qualifying a lead. 

RESEARCH & WRITING
  • Conduct online research to create background briefs on organizations and/or people that senior staff are meeting with. 
  • Conduct online research to modify presentation decks or written proposals for a specific person or organization. 
  • Draft emails on behalf of senior staff.
  • Draft conference panel session notes

PLANNING
  • Assist with organizing conference participation and setting up one on one meetings for senior staff.

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines with ease.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to help qualify leads and to craft decks and succinct written proposals.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and willingness to find creative solutions to deliver results quickly.
  • Exceptional project management abilities. 
  • Familiarity with Salesforce 
  • Business development or sales development experience Authorization to work in the U.S.
