Position Summary
You’ll be part of a project team, primarily working in healthcare and government facilities. You'll assist with multiple aspects of the cable installation process including pathway construction, rough-in, routing, Telecommunication Room build-out, cable terminations, labeling, and grounding.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Show up on time, ready to go.
- Assist the project team with installation tasks like pulling the cable, mounting pathways, or organizing equipment.
- Keep your work area squared away.
- Read and interpret floor plans, drawings, specifications, and cut sheets.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the equipment and materials we use, as well as industry best practices.
- Comply with customer and company safety and security requirements.
Travel
This position is generally expected to travel. Our contracts are nationwide. However, in the immediate term, work will be local to San Antonio. Long term, regional travel for work will be a necessity. That said, it’s important to us that people don’t burn out. That’s why we are experimenting with policies and incentives to keep road time as low-stress as possible. Again, we’re a small, young company. We’re open to any ideas on how we can help you maintain a work-life balance.
Position Requirements/Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
- In-house Certified Training Required (company provided): OSHA 10, Manufacturer Fire Stop training, Manufacturer installation training
Experience
- Must have experience in low voltage installation required.
- Must have at least two years of full-time work experience with references.
- Read, write, and understand English
- Able to distinguish color codes
- Veteran Hiring Preference: Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Coast Guard

Tools
- Some basic hand tools will be required. List available on request. No immediate major tool investment required.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- The standard work environment is indoors. Often business office or healthcare environment.
- Noise level is moderate.
- Regularly required to speak and listen, sit, stand, stoop, kneel, crawl, use hands, and reach for objects.
- Must be able to carry and climb ladders up to 20 feet.
- Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- May be required to work in tight, confined spaces, especially above drop tile ceilings.
