AutoPlanet Durham is currently seeking a BDC Sales Representative to join their dynamic team in Brampton.
The successful candidate will be responsible for answering service calls, coordinating service appointments, delivering personalized service that exemplifies our dealership and conducting follow-up calls. The ideal candidate will have exceptional customer service and communication skills. Previous automotive service experience is considered an asset, but not required.
Essential Duties:
- Communicate effectively by telephone and email with customers (both inbound and outbound communication)
- Schedule service and maintenance retention appointments.
- Answer inbound calls and respond to all customer inquiries and all web leads promptly and effectively follow up with clients and prospective clients by utilizing established dealership templates to communicate with customers by email and telephone.
- Utilize dealership call scripts for all inbound and outbound service calls.
- Schedule, log, and confirm appointments with customers and achieve daily/weekly/monthly goals as established by the BDC Manager.
- Update the CRM with information regarding all verbal communication with customers.
- Enter information in the Appointment Log when an appointment is scheduled.
- Study product and services to continually enhance ability to assist customers.
- Complete necessary certification tests.
- Learn pertinent dealership processes.
- Comply with any customer handling and marketing functions.
- Communicate with the BDC Manager relative any potential customers issues or problems.
- Perform all outbound campaigns as periodically assigned by the BDC Manager.
- Follow the policies and procedures of the BDC department and AutoPlanet Durham.
Position Requirements:
- Must have valid OMVIC license or are willing to attain OMVIC license before start date.
- Will be required to complete 80-100 outbound calls.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Office and Google Apps.
- A positive attitude and desire to grow and improve.
- Results oriented mindset to succeed.
- 1-3 years related dealership experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Willing to work as a member of a team and interact with others in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple and simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
