| Job Description | The Desktop Support Engineer is a hands-on, senior member of the Technical Services team, responsible for designing and operating the Bank's workstation/mobile device management, and application delivery systems. This is an internal support role which requires technical expertise, high responsiveness and a passionate commitment to customer service. The Desktop Support Engineer manages systems, projects, and complex tasks to achieve Bank goals for end-user computing system experience and security. In keeping with Bank values, the Desktop Support Engineer will develop and maintain strong working relationships with other engineers, technicians, and all bank associates. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Design, implements, and supports application delivery infrastructure. (Citrix, Horizon View, Software Library) Champion the asset and patch management functions, develop scripts to automate repetitive tasks regarding PC and A/D management, automate software application, upgrade, and patch deployments. Test patches and upgrades and resolve issues prior to company-wide implementation. Create application install packages and wrapping applications for delivery through a software distribution infrastructure. Test integrated applications against company standard image, software compatibility & utilities, and hardware in production environment. Manage solutions to identify, prevent, and mitigate vulnerabilities and threats associated with workstation, mobile device, application, and operating system configurations. Serve as a technical expert for root cause analysis and problem resolution, coordinate problem resolution activities including escalation to external suppliers when necessary. Review logs, notifications, and collected data to find trends and anomaly events associated with network, system, application, and security issues. Create and update technical documentation required to support systems, infrastructures, applications and processes. Support the team members by acting as a support escalation subject matter expert who provides guidance for addressing and researching complex issues and tasks. Support the company’s end user computing systems, including desktops, laptops, tablets, A/D accounts, network and internet access, workstation configurations, printer configurations, hardware (order/repair/replacement), mobile device provisioning, and standard software. (Windows, Office, Web Browser, etc.) Maintain awareness of and compliance with all policies, standards, procedures, and federal and state laws applicable to the job. Provide, present and promote The Citizens Experience to all external and internal customers. Other duties as they may be assigned. Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year College or technical school, and three to five years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with enterprise (500+) endpoint configuration management, asset management, and patch deployment systems required. Language Skills Ability to write reports, business correspondences, and departmental procedures. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures as well as procedure manuals related to the areas noted in Education and/or Experience. Ability to effectively present information and ideas verbally to groups and individuals with varying level of technical knowledge. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have extensive knowledge of various hardware and software solutions from industry leaders, including HP, Dell, Lenovo, Microsoft, VMware, BMC, Citrix, Symantec, BlueCoat, Solar Winds, BlackBerry. Experienced and proficient with workstation lifecycle management principles and tools. Proficiency with PowerShell, Batch and KiXtart is preferred. Experience with remote troubleshooting techniques and working knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals, including printers and scanners.
