Senior Enterprise Architect – End User Computing& Mobility

The position oversees advanced design in the development of new infrastructure hosting platforms for applications/systems, technical processes, and directs activities necessary to complete major projects. The position requires a good understanding of BFS lines of business, key trends and drivers shaping the market. Position requires a wide variety of technical skills and expertise and the ability to consult with and provide guidance to a number of TCS Infrastructure Services Delivery organizations and Senior Management on advanced technical capabilities and issues.  Understands business needs to architect, develop and implement enterprise solutions that solve business and technology problems. Stays abreast of emerging software technologies and is viewed as a thought leader in technical architecture; influences technology and solution roadmaps for ITIS Delivery organization. Routinely called upon by TCS leadership to address complex or high risk architecture issues.  Assists TCS marketing/sales efforts by interacting with and directing client managers or sales team toward the appropriate use of Infrastructure technologies and TCS Intellectual Property (IP) solution and technologies. Identify and communicate technical trends within the industry by facilitating learning sessions for other technical associates. 

Provide thought & technical leadership in helping major projects & programs develop & deliver an integrated Infrastructure Solution Architecture.  Utilize breadth of knowledge across all technology & application domains to provide technical design recommendations with a goal of completing projects & programs that deliver business value to TCS clients.  Support long-term ITIS Delivery organizational strategy and evolution of technology while also advocating for standardization & reuse of existing solutions or products. Facilitate technical discussions that lead to alignment behind a recommendation and/or a solution. 



• Responsibilities:  The position oversees applied research or advanced design in the development of new applications/systems or technical processes, directs activities required to complete major enterprise projects. Specifies technical design approach and standards; demonstrate deep expertise in technical design by articulating the strengths and weaknesses associated with utilizing alternative architecture solutions. 
• Recommend architecture upgrades based on technical trends or changes in the nature of the systems that use architecture; provide cost/benefit analysis for architecture design; balance the requirements for quality against development and maintenance costs in resolving architecture issues. Determine new ways to package existing technologies in order to produce innovative architectures; suggest new hardware and software that should be developed to surpass the limitations of existing equipment. 
• Bridge the gap between business needs and technological solutions; demonstrate an ability to draw on both business and technical expertise; establish a high level trust among both business and technical professionals.
• Good understanding of BFS landscape and ability to map technology solutions relevant to business requirements and provide business value
• Provide analysis and design using the company mandated methodology and toolset. Provide high level analysis and facilitate design sessions. Proficient in design/analysis on a number of software/hardware platforms. 
• Provide roadmap that illustrates the approach for solution design & delivery that should be undertaken for complex projects. 
• Portfolio Management: Key participant in technology planning activities from both a technical and financial perspective.  Utilize cost/benefit analysis skills when determining a proper architecture solution 
 Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for large infrastructure projects from technical implementation and project management perspective.
• Deliver projects within timelines, quality and within budgets
• Assume leadership of client engagements and be able to work without direct supervision and interface with Customer IT and business functions
• Enabling smooth transition of IT operations or clients into a service provider delivery model
• Work closely with the sales and delivery teams during the presales phases
? Will be an on-site extension of offshore technology practice and will assist in pre-sales activities when required
• Responsible for project scoping, statement of works, acceptance, test criterion execution and sign-offs (i.e. reviewing technical feasibility proposals from customers or Bill of Material (BOM) validation) 
• Maintain continual contact with IS technology CoEs and alliance managers to stay
informed of the latest initiatives, developments and capabilities
? Take conceptual offerings from offshore and “productize” it internally to customer Pilot
• Assist IS teams in framing technology solutions into business terms
• Support Due Diligence and Contracting phases by identifying client-specific technology
integration and unique technology requirements
• Support teams in technical interviews and on-site technical personnel selections process
• Assure clarity of technical communication between TCS on-site teams and client O Director / CTO level executives
• Coordinate ongoing education campaign for ISU personnel on latest technology trends and IS capabilities, to assure IS solutions can be effectively marketed
• Publish technical whitepapers or case studies and present at IT forums

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field equivalent
• Available to travel when required (~80%)
• Located in NY, NJ, or surrounding area
• 10+ years of experience in End-User Computing & Microsoft “Centric” Technologies with hand on technical implementation experience of IT infrastructure projects (e.g., Desktop & Wintel Server Virtualization, Desktop Upgrade/migration, Global Collaboration)
• 5+ years of mobility technology architecture or engineering experience
• Must have advance certifications in Microsoft collaboration suite (e.g., Office 365 & Windows 10)
• Expert knowledge in Windows technology (i.e. Windows 7, 8 & 10, SCCM, Active Directory, GPO, APP-V (virtualization)
• Expert knowledge in Mac technology (i.e. OS/X, JAMF Casper)
• Expert knowledge in Mobility technology (i.e. BlackBerry, IOS, Android, MobileIron)
• Expert knowledge in desktop Virtualization (i.e. VMWare & Citrix)
• Excellent presentation, business, analytical, problem solving and communication skills (written and verbal) 
• Experienced in presenting at IT industry forums and conferences (i.e., whitepapers and case studies)
• Should have delivered at least 4 large scale IT infrastructure projects for Enterprises with large IT infrastructure with direct architectural accountabilities for execution and delivery
• Possesses good knowledge of various other IT Infrastructure technologies (Data Center Services, Cross Functional Services like Tools & processes, Network and Security, Disaster recovery etc.,)
• Excellent ability to elicit customer requirements, define limits to project scope and develop / review / approve Statement of works
• Exposure working in a global delivery model leveraging offshore locations

Preferences:

• Prior presales or consulting experience
• Advanced certifications in Wintel Hardware (i.e. UCS, HP, IBM), Windows -MCSE, desktop & server virtualization (i.e., Microsoft & VMware), AD Exchange, and Cloud
• Development experience
• Experience with Web Services:  REST, SOAP, XML, JSON a plus
• Experience with JAVA, Objective-C, Javascript, HTML5 and CSS3 a plus
