This Role
PayJoy is hiring a Collections Representative in Mexico who can help us scale the business. The right candidate will be a talented and hard-working, looking for a high-growth opportunity at a high-impact startup, while also deeply motivated by and aligned with PayJoy’s mission to empower the next billion smartphone users.
As Collections Representative, you will be reporting to the Collections Manager and will be responsible for initiating calls with delinquent customers by phone, mail, or SMS to collect payments and settle accounts. Follow-up delinquent accounts, update, and improve PayJoy´s financial records.
Minimum Qualifications:
- College Degree / High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1+ year Collections experience (soft collections)
- Proficiency in English and Spanish
- Ability to pass a background check
- MS Office experience
Responsibilities:
- Collect payments on past due bills.
- Organize list according to severity of delinquency
- Inform clients of overdue accounts and amount currently owed
- Attempt to collect payment
- Review terms of sale or loan documents
- Ensure all customer information is correct, including phone numbers and addresses
- Set up repayment plans and new terms of sale
- Offer advice or refer customers to debt counselors
- Record new commitment to repay debt
- Help develop collections frameworks and personas to improve financial outcomes
