Position Overview:
Payability is looking for a sales development representative to join our sales team. This role will be responsible for sourcing and developing new business opportunities with small businesses in the online selling space. Success in the role will be measured by meeting booking goals and pipeline development metrics. The ideal candidate is motivated by the challenge to meet and exceed targeted levels of sales activities and to build and implement strategies that will drive results. This role will report directly to the Head of Sales and will work independently within a small team to meet and exceed goals.
Responsibilities:
- Approaching potential customers through a coordinated and targeted selling strategy encompassing calling, email, social engagement, and events.
- Dutifully shepherding prospects through our sales funnel utilizing CRM and a suite of internally developed tools
- Setting up calls with customers, communicating our value proposition, and overcoming objections
- Developing a deep understanding of our product, service, fee structures, etc.
- Providing key feedback to our product and marketing teams to help us develop new products and services for our small business clients
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
- 1-2 years experience in sales or sales support function
- Strong communication skills, enabling you to educate prospects on the benefits of Payability
- Motivated, ambitious and loves engaging with people
- Excellent prioritization, time management and organizational skills
- Ability to leverage modern sales tools to build and track pipeline
- Thrives in uncertain, rapidly changing environments
- Passionate about the fintech and ecommerce markets
