Infrastructure/Dev Ops Engineer

So what does an Infrastructure/Devops Engineer at PathFactory do?
We are looking for an experienced infrastructure/devops engineer to join our R&D team. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and data scientists in the company to build and enhance the infrastructure underlying the web services and applications that support our customers. 
 
This position offers flexible work hours and flexibility to work from home as needed. We operate in an Agile Development environment and we’re continuing to invest heavily in research and development.
 
Job Responsibilities:
●      Designing, developing, implementing, and managing infrastructure using DevOps methodologies
●      Ensuring the security, availability, performance, and scalability of our infrastructure
○      Fix detected vulnerabilities according to risk-based remediation plan
○      Support security investigation, security incident response, business continuity and disaster recovery plan
●      Ensuring reliable and ongoing measurement and monitoring of our infrastructure via health checks and metrics.
●      Maintaining and enhancing build/deployment pipelines to improve the quality and availability of our platform.
●      Coordinating product releases
●      Collaborating and supporting a diverse team of engineers to identify infrastructure needs, and to create and implement tooling and structure
●      Training and mentoring the team in DevOps best practices

Job requirements:
●      Knowledge of AWS: EC2, ECS, RDS, VPC, Fargate, ALB, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, IAM, GuardDuty, WAF
●      Well-versed with Linux
●      Excellent understanding of using Docker to containerize production applications
●      Proficiency in writing and maintaining scripts (preferably in Python)

Nice to have experience:
●      Experience working with databases (ie. MySQL, Postgres)
●      Knowledge of HaProxy
●      Working knowledge of Python, Ruby, Javascript, and git
●      Experience with Agile development methodologies and working with cross functional product teams
●      Knowledge of Jira and workflows
●      Knowledge of CI tools like Jenkins

Location:
The position is located in downtown Toronto.
