About CoProcure
CoProcure (coprocure.us) makes it easy for public agencies to purchase together. Each year, U.S. local and state government agencies spend $1.5T on goods and services. Even though agencies have similar needs, each agency typically spends ~200 hours making a purchase on its own. Purchasing redundancies cost taxpayers billions of dollars each year. CoProcure makes it easy to find, use, and create cooperative contracts, saving public agencies time and money. Join us as we harness the power of purchasing to reinvest billions of dollars into our local communities.

We’re an early-stage startup on a mission to fix public procurement. We’re putting our passion for public service, startup experience, and deep domain expertise to work on a complex problem with tremendous consequences for government staff, businesses, and residents throughout the country.

About the Founder
Mariel Reed became passionate about public procurement during her time in public service with the San Francisco Mayor’s Office. In San Francisco, Mariel helped scale Startup in Residence (www.startupinresidence.org) to a national program connecting cities and startups. Outside of her professional work, Mariel starts and scales communities. She founded Lean In China, which has grown to 100K+ members across 50+ cities and initiated and scaled the San Francisco EdTechWomen chapter to 800+ members. She has been recognized as a World Economic Forum Global Shaper.
