Optician

Are you looking for a great career opportunity? Do you have a knack for customer service with experience in optical? Would like to have a routine Monday-Friday work schedule? We have just what you are looking for! We also provide training that will build on your Opticianry skills.

What are we looking for? Someone who possesses the following skills and attributes:

  • Patient / Sales Focused: Every customer who enters your optical has his/her own needs, desires and interests. An “A Player” knows their responsibility is to creatively and effectively determine those needs and desires, ultimately resulting in a sale and a long-term relationship.
  • Communication / Listening Skills: Listening involves not only hearing people’s words, but also understanding the message and the importance of their responses. The “A Player” understands and practices these skills with their patients and co-workers. This, because they realize they are the key to developing and maintaining relationships, identifying needs and making sales.
  • Results / Performance Committed: We all get 24 hours a day. It’s the only fair thing in life...the only thing that’s equal. The “A Player” knows how to fill their 24 hours. They don’t waste them, they fill them with preparation, practice, hustle, grit, initiative and drive.
  • Adaptability / Change: In optical, like most other businesses, change is a constant. The “A Player” is able to adapt to these changes quickly and effectively while maintaining a positive outlook and a consistent level of performance.
  • Team Player: Each of us brings our own personality, style, background, and issues with us wherever we go. In spite of this, “A Players” understand the value of a team environment and help solve problems and resolve conflict.
  • Past Performance: “A Players” have, in most cases, always been “A Players”. In other words, they have always performed to a higher level than most.
  • ABO-Certified Preferred, but not required.

Do you believe you have all of these skills and, perhaps, even more? Then we need to talk.

The position is in a very successful ophthalmology practice that takes great pride in the level of patient/customer service that surpasses the competition.
We want energetic, upbeat and positive teammates that exude all of the skills we listed above. It's important to know that you must possess ALL of the skills above, not just some. It's the only way to succeed in our organization.
