Our client is looking for a DevOps Engineer to add to their dynamic team supporting a highly visible federal contract. Selected candidates should have experience implementing continuous integration solutions utilizing automated tools to deploy usable and efficient customer-facing applications.
Responsibilities:
- Automates the build and deployment of enterprise web applications.
- Collaborates with various teams involved in software delivery (developers, operations, quality assurance, management, etc.).
- Resolves complex issues, conducts research, and recommends solutions.
- Provide timely updates on tasks and meet internal and client deadlines with high-quality deliverables.
- Works with customers and users to evaluate, estimate and perform application development and/or business process change requests under the direction of the Technical Lead
- Develops test scenarios and scripts as an integral component of the software quality assurance process
- Familiarity with US Federal government security requirements, practices, and standards (including FEDRAMP, FISMA, NIST 800-53, FIPS (up to level 3), and Common Criteria)
- Familiarity with vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, threat modeling, and secure code reviews
Location: Washington DC and Fairfax, VA
Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher and/or 8+ years of related experience.
- 5+ years of experience with complex software applications.
- 5+ years of experience working on an Agile Team, implementing continuous deployment solutions using automated toolsets.
- 3 years of experience with continuous integration, delivery, and deployment.
- 3 years of experience with Jenkins, Ruby, Chef, NodeJS, Gradle, Groovy, Docker, Hyper-V, Python, OpenShift/Kubernetes, and build automation.
- Familiarity with JIRA or other Agile Lifecycle Management (ALM) tool.
- Excellent communication and writing skills (ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience).
- Must be a US citizen, candidates will have an extensive background check for specific suitability for USCIS.
