Packet is looking for a motivated self-starter to lead all things culture and HR at Packet. More than 50% of our staff works remotely and it is critical to our success that they are included and empowered. As Manager of People Operations you will leverage your extensive background to ensure that Packet builds a scalable, productive and inclusive culture that attracts and retains the talent we need to achieve our goals. Specific responsibilities include:
- Setting the strategy, and leading the charge, for helping all new and existing team members feel welcome while ensuring that our culture is not diluted in the process of rapid growth.
- Managing the entire recruiting process from job postings through integration.
- Ensuring that a thorough review process is in place for goals, annual reviews, and 360 degree feedback.
- Leading endeavors such as reviews, compensation, and professional development.
- Developing strategic and operational HR programs that will strengthen our culture, improve performance, and enhance engagement within our teams and which will scale as the company grows.
- Ensuring legal and regulatory compliance with all employment laws in the US and abroad.
- Partnering with management on key retention strategies, including the development of new programs, benefits and other initiatives to increase employee satisfaction and reduce unwanted attrition.
- Developing and tracking key metrics that measure employee happiness, engagement, performance, and retention.
- Driving a high performing culture that ensures fairness across the organization.
- Providing strategic leadership on diversity and inclusion efforts.
Qualifications:
- You have 5+ years of People Operations experience in high growth environments and you have a passion for building and growing cohesive teams. A strong interest in the cloud infrastructure and technology space is a huge plus.
- You are a wiz at compensation and benefits - you understand the needs as a company scales and have experience managing costs while staying competitive with salary, benefits, and perks.
- You believe in being a constant learner. You have experience creating a strong learning environment within an organization which includes developing and implementing successful initiatives for performance management, coaching, and learning and development.
- You have the ability to influence, engage, and partner closely with appropriate business partners across all levels of the organization in planning, change management and conflict resolution.
- You are data driven. You have an analytical mindset and you know that you have to use data, metrics, and analytics to measure success and make better decisions.
- You have designed and implemented scalable, high-quality operational people programs and processes.
- You have strong leadership skills with the ability to foster high levels of accountability through coaching, career development, and performance management.
- You know the importance of having a diverse culture. You have experience helping grow a culture within a rapidly growing organization and have helped to create flourishing and diverse communities.
- Bachelor degree (MBA preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically.
- Ability to recruit for top technical and operational leaders for the team.
