Account Executive

About the role:

As an Account Executive on the Carrier Enablement team member, you will be responsible for working hands on with enterprise insurance companies and Outline’s Product team to rapidly implement and enhance product offerings available through Outline. You will identify and articulate how Outline can unlock value for our customers and truly transform their workflow through the use of better software. 

Responsibilities:

  • Source, cultivate, and close customers of Outline’s platform. 
  • Perform market and competitive landscape research to identify new product partnerships, build and deliver product presentations, develop sales presentations and proposals.
  • Coordinate projects, manage timelines, communicate status updates, and manage stakeholders.
  • Drive complex negotiations with and perform due diligence on prospective partners. 
  • Providing a world-class prospect and customer experience through every interaction.
  • Become an Outline product expert, and become an expert on the competitive landscape and the industry.
  • Move multi-level projects forward with client executive and project stakeholders to align on mutual benefits of partnership.
  • Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly status updates. 
  • Provide detailed notes of client needs and interactions.
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements in our process.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in software customer success or enterprise software sales.
  • Track record of negotiating, structuring, and executing highly complex enterprise-level agreements.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 50%+ (M–Th, can be typical during peak times).
  • An understanding and appreciation of the enterprise sales cycle.
  • Positive attitude with an appreciation for both teamwork and also independent effort.
  • Empathic listener with persuasive written and verbal skills.
  • Experience in property and casualty insurance or another financial services industry is a major plus.
