Business Analyst - eCommerce System

The eCommerce System Business Analyst will provide key support in developing user stories, scenarios with the overall goal turning business concepts and needs into production-ready features and functionalities. In this role, you’ll manage and evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to general understanding, and distinguish user request from underlying true needs. The primary focus of this position will be working alongside key business stakeholders to identify, write, manage, and test product features.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and objectives
  • Document business requirements in Jira, develop technical user stories, and functional specifications
  • Collaborate with developers to clarify requirements and to ensure technical specifications/design satisfy the business needs
  • Create use cases and test data
  • Capture test results and validate results across development, test, staging and production instances
  • Validate final solution/product meets signed business requirements documentation
  • Perform detailed analysis of bugs and data issues
  • Manage system issues through triage and resolution

Requirements:
  • 5+ years experience in a Business Analyst role supporting an eCommerce platform
  • Experience working in a mature Agile/Scrum environment
  • Expertise in creating project documentation
  • Proficient in MS Word, Visio, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Highly motivated and self-directed with exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical teams on issues, tasks, and impacts

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Digital Marketing knowledge highly desired
  • Sitecore or Adobe AEM experience preferred

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or a related field

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Participate in OrangePeople monthly team meetings, and participate in team building efforts.
  • Contribute to OrangePeople technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
  • Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base. 
  • Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested
