Position: Database Engineer (L2 Support) - ETL/SQL

Job description:
Optimally would prefer to have someone with some Striim experience but a resource with strong SQL and ETL experience and the ability to learn Striim could possibly work.
The ideal “Striim” candidate would have the below skillsets:
o Striim Toolkit
o TQL
o Java
o Linux
Knowing that no one single candidate would have all the above skillsets since that would normally span across multiple teams we would like to find a candidate with the following:
- Also we will have this resource report into our EDW and work on EDW development projects when not doing prod support for Striim.
Position Summary:
- Provide Level 2 (L2) support for Client's Striim environment. This will include Striim administration and development.
Major Job Accountabilities:
- Identify root cause and propose solutions for issues that arise in the Striim Production environment
- Develop fixes to address issues
- Configure and maintain Striim software
- Support deployments to the Production environment
- Monitor Striim server activity/usage statistics to identify possible performance issues
- Recommend modifications to improve Striim server performance
- Provide timely status updates and issue escalation to appropriate levels of management
- Work closely with technical architects and software engineers to develop additional Striim applications
Qualifications:
- MS or BS in computer science or equivalent education desired
- At least 1 year of experience with Striim - THIS IS A VERY STRONG LIKE BUT NOT A REQUIREMENT
- At least 3 years of experience with other Data Integration Tools (e.g. Informatica, Golden Gate, SSIS)
- At least 3 years of hands-on RDBMS experience (SQL Server and Oracle)
- Strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong listening and questioning skills.
- Work well independently and in a collaborative team environment.
