Sr. Project Coordinator
Location:  Tacoma, WA | Duration: 1 Year 
First Preference – Must be local (already living in the Seattle / Tacoma Area).  If not local, must relocate
 
Project Coordinator.
 
Please note that this person will spend 50% of their time dedicated to one of our projects providing coordination and scheduling activities for vehicle radio installs and assisting the PM in other areas as necessary and identified by the PM in the same radio project.  The other 50% will be performing typical project coordinator activities in the PMO for various other projects.  This role requires someone who is very organized, experience with this type of coordination and scheduling, but also possesses the skillsets needed to assist other PMs with their project activities; update and tracking status and mitigation plans for risks/issues; monitoring and follow-ups with resources for assigned tasks and percentage complete; status reporting; SharePoint experience (we use this as our data repository); scheduling and attending meetings.
 
The client is looking to train someone as a project coordinator; they must come with experience and should be local.  They will need to work onsite.  We would like to bring this person on-board this month (July).
 
 
Competencies
Analysis – Strong analytical skills.  Use data and information in a clear and rational process to assess and understand issues, evaluate options, form accurate conclusions, and make decisions.  Gather, assemble, analyze and evaluate facts to draw logical conclusions and make proper recommendations and prepare clear, concise and comprehensive written reports which require displaying and presenting statistical, graphical, and other reporting methods to audiences of varying technical sophistication. Must have problem solving and root cause identification skills.
 
Research – Effectively identify, collect, organize and document data and information in ways that make the information more useful for subsequent assessment, analysis and investigation.  Compile and maintain reports, records and various other forms of pertinent information in an organized and professional manner.
 
Technical Knowledge – Familiar with project management methodologies, documents and deliverables.  Must have experience with Microsoft Office products and SharePoint.

·         Understanding of PMI Project Management techniques, processes and methods.
·         Understanding of project management fundamentals like risk and issue management, budgeting, resource and change control and quality.
·         Understanding of technology and/or utility projects.
 
Experience:
·        Proven experience of participating in projects as a project coordinator or project management assistant. 
·        Experience in project management, from conception to delivery.
·        Experience in planning and schedule management.
·        Ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans.
·        Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control.
·        Evaluation and report writing.
·        Experience working with SharePoint.
·        Experience with MS Project. 
·        Experience working effectively as a team.
 
This role will provide coordination services and project related administrative duties. These services will include the development of project artifacts, assistance with coordination of project activities/scheduling, facilitation of project work sessions that progress project requirements, design, build/configure and testing project phases.  
 
·        Assists with data collection.
·        Compiles project status reports and assists with project report development.
·        Assists in coordination of project schedules.
·        Identifies, analyzes and contributes toward development of project requirements, design and assists in defining project scope and deliverables.
·        Performs and contributes toward the development of project deliverables and artifacts, as assigned and required.
·        Coordinates project activities and assists to ensure all project phases are documented appropriately.
·        Assists the project manager with risk and issue identification, reporting and change control processes.
·        Analyzes and interpret project data; review and evaluate the accuracy of plans, report and supporting information using PMI best practices and   methodologies; identify and observe trends, examine basic elements and key relationships, forecast needs.
