Ops & People Lead

OMNY is a data marketplace where health systems and providers can share de-identified data sets with external parties such as pharma, med device companies, research institutes, etc. We've been growing incredibly quickly and are signing health systems in as quickly as three months from first convo. 

Your Role
The Head of Business & People Operations will work side-by-side with the CEO and founders to position us for the next stage of our company where we are preparing for explosive growth! Your role is to accelerate the performance of our company, implement sustainable ways of operating, and create an awesome work environment for our people. You are the glue between functions and the center to which everyone will be looking for direction. To be successful in this role you will build excellent relationships, ensure quality and seamlessness of operations, and inspire our people to give their all. Ideal candidates are comfortable with risk, ambitious, self-directed and highly productive with exceptional people skills.

Responsibilities
  • Be a trusted advisor and chief of staff to the CEO and leadership team: 
  • Understand the state of the business and help determine where it’s going
  • Organize, prioritize, and escalate critical issues / information
  • Facilitate meetings or interactions to achieve effective, fast decision making and problem solving 
  • Lead strategy and business planning
  • Assist in preparing for and delivering executive communications; often a spokesperson representing the leadership team
  • Conduct strategic research and special projects as needed 
  • Build and run the business:
  • Help set and adhere to short and long term priorities, goals, and metrics 
  • Steer the business into making data driven, strategic decisions
  • Define, drive and improve operational processes and cadence 
  • Manage the budget and drive cost efficiency
  • Lead complex, multi-faceted strategies and projects across the company
  • Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships
  • Serve as an interface with legal advisors
  • Lead people operations:
  • Be the guardian of our culture and values
  • Ensure we have an excellent workplace and facilities for our people
  • Assist leadership team in recruiting, recognizing, and retaining talent
  • Design and run our employee performance management approach
  • Create and implement policies for employees
  • Build or acquire functions or capabilities we may need in the future, such as finance, legal, and HR

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience in business functions such as finance, strategy, operations, and/or HR
  • Business and financial acumen; budget management experience
  • Quantitative and analytical skills; ability to derive insights and make decisions with data
  • Excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills with a variety of audiences (executives, employees, customers, partners, etc.).
  • Experience in creating business rigor in planning and decision making with reviews, processes, metrics, meeting cadences, etc.
  • Project / program management 
  • Planning / facilitating meetings and events
  • Organizational skills and high responsiveness with calendar, task lists, email, etc.

Highly Preferred Qualifications / Experience
  • Undergraduate degree; Masters or MBA is a plus
  • Start up experience, especially with scaling 
  • People leadership
  • Vendor selection and management
  • Facilities management
