Job Title: IT Reporting Business Analyst
Location: Quincy/Boston, MA
Duration: 10+ Months 
Visa: USC & GC

The reporting business analyst will gather requirements that will be used to create data sets, extracts, reports and dashboards for consumption at multiple levels throughout the agency and its partners. An experienced analyst with technical proficiency is needed to promote the groups team's vision, gather report requirements, participate in design and documentation of the reports and present them for validation. The ability to prioritize competing priorities and many parallel processes is a must. 

Job Description

DUTIES:
• Work with identified stakeholders in person or via remote meeting to gather requirements and understand business needs
• Quickly learn and document business process and policy with stakeholder groups
• Support the development of end-user training materials and documentation
• Prepare gap analysis deliverables and process flow diagrams 
• Coordinate closely with stakeholder groups, the Bureau of Program Integrity and other DDS IT Resources team to support the creation, maintenance and documentation of data and reports
• Create and maintain all best practice documentation including but not limited to: Business/Functional Reporting Specifications, Meeting minutes and other documentation as requested
• Design standard Business/Functional Reporting Specifications based on Agency need
• Design a documentation strategy for cataloging reports
• Design a process for requesting report maintenance or new reports post initial requirements gathering 
• Keep tracking systems updated (i.e. JIRA or TFS) 

SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum 5 years BA experience in an IT or Analytics context
• Excellent writing, speaking, and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of the Unified Process and/or Agile process
• Must be self- motivated, well organized and have strong innovation and facilitation skills
• Well-developed critical and analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Experience with multi-group requirements gathering projects
• Excellent meeting leadership and requirements gathering skills
• Comfort level with Data and abstract concepts
• Demonstrated ability as a flexible, process-oriented, logical thinker and team player 
• Development Experience a plus
• Jasper/Tableau/Cognos/BI experience a plus
• SQL skills a plus
• Bachelor's degree required
• Government experience a plus
