Odyssey Therapeutics is an early-stage venture backed startup focused on the development of novel therapeutics to treat cancer and autoimmune diseases.

What you’ll do:

- Drive discovery and translational research aimed at identifying, characterizing, and interpreting results for novel therapeutics for cancer and autoimmune diseases
- Build out and manage a team of scientists
- Characterize in vitro immune responses relevant to human autoimmune diseases: perform flow cytometry characterization, cell sorting, analysis of gene expression, and epigenetic change
- Build out automated assays to characterize primary tissue MHC presentation at scale to expand on machine learning models
- Actively collaborate with external academic laboratories to source ideas, patient specimens, and technologies
- Record, analyze, and communicate scientific ideas and data and also publish in peer-reviewed journals

What you’ve done: 

- Ph.D. in Immunology or related field with a minimum of 2+ years postdoctoral experience
- Experience isolating and interrogating the function of primary human and mouse immune cells in vitro and in vivo is desired

Nice to haves (you possess one, some, or many of the skills below):
- Hands-on experience in development, optimization, and execution of immune and cellular assays applying multiple techniques including primary cell isolation, tissue culture, ELISA, FACS, Cy-TOF, Western and multiplexing technologies (e.g. Luminex, Quantigene)
- Experience preparing proteomics samples for analysis by Mass Spectrometry 
- Extensive experience with flow cytometry, including design and execution of multi-color panels and antibody validation; cell sorting experience is not required but desirable
- Hands on experience with T-cell functional characterization assays. Experienced in T cell phenotyping cytotoxicity assays, proliferation, and cytokine/chemokine measurements.

Preferred skills:

- Previous experience working with engineered T-cells
- Developing, validating, and writing SOPs
- Experience authoring of technical reports, drug discovery documents, and regulatory submissions
- CRISPR experience
- RNA-Seq experience
- Proteomics or metabolomics 
- Python/R/Matlab- (this is a huge positive to our CEO) 
- Experience with automation/robotics
- Authorized to work in the United States
