What you really do:

Your job starts after the Business development team has handed over a lead to you. You will assist o9 in converting the lead into a customer. Our leads are all over Europe so you will need to travel extensively. You need to give presentations and software demo’s to potential customers. As a part of the sales process, you need to take ownership of RFI/RFQ initiatives. Attending events, seminars and fairs is a part of your job.  

You will:

  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of industry best practices, business processes, o9’s solutions and value proposition.
  • Identify opportunities in the market and bring them to the top of the funnel
  • Visit customers and events  through the EMEA region 
  • Be the representative of o9 and advertise the o9 values at as many channels as possible
  • Demonstrate the platform to various levels within our potential customers
  • Develop thorough knowledge about the o9 platform and the value proposition 
  • Work on and lead RFX’s processes
  • Lead negotiations with customers in the final stage of the sales process

A day in the life of an Account Executive- EMEA

You wake up Thursday morning, check your email and see that a new RFI is launched. Sweet, another opportunity to win! You dress up really neat because this afternoon you got the final demo for a large retailer in Europe. You head to the airport by train and on the way, you jump on a call regarding the RFI. The work is distributed and you are assigned to do the technical description. When you arrive at your customer you find out that they have some additional request to show during the demo. You know the software by heart so this should not be an issue. You deliver an amazing demo and all the attendees are mind blown! You head back home again. The next day you will head to the office wearing your comfortable clothes to work on the RFI. In the office, you find your colleagues and it is #beerfriday. You work on the RFI and at four o’clock the beers are popping. Taking a sip from your beer you look out the window seeing all the airplanes depart from Schiphol and you think: What a great company to work for!

  • No 9-5 mentality (we work with India, Europe and the US)
  • Strong understanding of supply chain planning concepts 
  • A patient listener with the ability to clearly articulate your viewpoint to all levels of our customer
  • Strong ability to lead by example and demonstrate proficiency in both product and domain
  • Tech-savvy, you need to know how to run a software demo
  • Knowledge about Retail, CPG, Manufacturing, Tier 1 / 2  supply chains
  • Proficient use of MS Office package, LinkedIn, Salesforce.com
  • Masters degree
  • German proficiency level C1/Advanced/Superior
