Organization for Research and Learning (ORL) is searching for a Certified Behavior Technician who is confident, dedicated and reliable to provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to our clients with Autism. The ideal candidate must have an interest in making a difference in the lives of children with autism.
Who is ORL?
ORL provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children (ages 2 – 20) with autism and related disabilities in the Greater Seattle / Eastside area. ORL provides these services in clients’ homes, schools, and other local community-based locations. In a comprehensive ABA program for children with autism, the goal is to shift a client’s overall trajectory, putting them on a path to living a fuller and more engaging life. The Behavior Technician works one-on-one with clients implementing ABA programs in the client’s home or community setting under weekly supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Some weekday afternoon (4 – 7 pm) availability is required.
What the Successful Candidate will have:
· High school diploma.
· Must be at least 18 years old
· Current certification as a CBT is a bonus. Must be willing to get CBT license (company paid).
· Must have an interest in making a difference in the lives of children with autism.
· Previous experience working with children or people with disabilities and teaching communication, cognitive, personal care, leisure, self-advocacy, self-management or social skills is ideal, but not required.
· Proven aptitude for punctuality and professionalism while interacting with clients, supervisors, and families.
· Must have your own reliable vehicle and be willing to drive up to 30 miles to and from client homes (paid drive time and mileage).
