SEO Manager

Novelty Media is looking for a driven, enthusiastic and highly-ambitious SEO Manager! 

As our SEO Manager, you will play a critical role in Novelty’s continued growth with regards to content and site development.  Responsibilities will include creating and implementing an SEO strategy across our brands, growing organic content and reporting on key initiatives.

Novelty Media is a digital media publishing company with several high-end online magazines. We specialize in highly engaging, ultra-shareable content reaching over 75 million Americans.

Responsibilities

  • To understand, communicate and execute all things related to organic search. You’ll be required to create and implement myriad strategies and report on performance across multiple brands of the 101 network.
  • Convey key fundamentals of SEO to content team and senior leadership
  • Implement optimization strategies including, but not limited to competitive analysis, technical audits, internal and external linking, on-page optimizations, content expansions, and structured data markup
  • Perform ongoing research and create and develop reports utilizing data collected using various tools, including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEM Rush, Omniture, Ahrefs and more.
  • Demonstrate holistic awareness of SEO and emerging digital marketing trends, and contribute to thought leadership within the organization
  • Demonstrate the ability to multitask successfully by working on multiple projects at once.
  • Display a thorough understanding of vertical and its competitive landscape
  • An ability to work independently to implement and enforce SEO strategies while also being able to work collaboratively with other teams within the organization


Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of SEO experience, preferably in new media and content analysis.
  • The ability to present SEO recommendations in a clear, concise and thoughtful way
  • An understanding of storytelling and the need to create engaging content
  • A basic understanding of HTML and CSS
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

Education

Bachelor’s Degree - preferred
