Nexkey is seeking an Office Manager for its San Mateo, CA Headquarters. As Office Manager, you will be the heart and soul of our daily office operation.The ideal candidate excels at creating a welcoming, positive atmosphere that allows every team member to enjoy a productive workspace. The range of responsibilities for this role will be wide: from simple but important administrative and office upkeep tasks to event planning, light bookkeeping (AR/AP cycle and more based on skill), and office vendor sourcing & RFQs. You will be the primary point of contact for visitors and the go to person for our employees with questions or concerns concerning the office environment. Critical to this role are great written and verbal communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, the ability to prioritize tasks, the ability to learn quickly, the energy to keep up with a dynamic start up business and its’ ever evolving demands while staying cool under pressure.
You will be based in our office in downtown San Mateo. The position is non-exempt. This is not a remote work opportunity.
• Incoming/outgoing mail & small parcel shipments
• Office & pantry supply
• Research, plan, organize Office & Team events
• Employee Expense Administration
• New employee set up & onboarding (equipment order, work space set up)
• Light HR admin duties
• General admin tasks & office upkeep
• AR/AP admin & follow up
• 2+ years of work experience in an office manager role or similar
• Proficient with GSuite & MS Office Suite
• A desire to go above and beyond to ensure a smooth and efficient office operation
• Passion for problem-solving and the right attitude and aptitude for learning new skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Experience with Accounting and CRM tools preferred
• Previous experience working for a startup
