Director Inside Sales

OVERVIEW:
Nexkey is seeking a Director of Inside Sales to add to the Sales team.  You will initially lead a small Inside Sales team, and work closely with Nexkey’s Product, Marketing and Engineering teams, as well.  Critical to this role is the ability to provide the overall strategy and vision for the team, and having taken a new product through a significant growth phase in terms of sales (from 500k to 5M ARR).  You should have previous experience establishing processes, protocols and sales goals and communicating these to the Inside Sales team. Key to your success in this role is having previous experience managing, mentoring and developing a small Sales team, as well as identifying and addressing relevant skill sets.  

Significantly, you will not only be a manager of others, but also a “doer”, and will have to roll up your sleeves and close sales yourself as needed. Previous experience working with hardware and software products is required, as is working in both mature organizations and tech startups.  The ideal candidate will have proven experience making data-driven decisions to inform critical sales tactics and develop a sales playbook for the team.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage, coach and level-up Nexkey’s inside sales team while still closing deals yourself
  • Improve the sales process (on the fly) as you will see the commonalities, triggers and buying habits of our customers
  • Build-out Nexkey’s Reseller Program
  • Work with marketing on driving initiatives that fill the sales funnel
  • Make sure that customer success and happiness is guaranteed, beyond the close
  • Develop a strong sales playbook for the team, and train them in relevant inside sales tactics and performance measures

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of successful experience working in Inside Sales
  • 2+ years of experience managing, mentoring and developing teams
  • Previous experience successfully working with performance marketing teams to drive inbound leads
  • Previous experience successfully working in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Previous experience in driving significant revenue growth
  • Expertise with Inside Sales tools like Hubspot, Salesforce, ConnectAndSell, Dialpad, etc.
  • A desire to go above and beyond to crush revenue goals
  • Previous experience and passion for writing reports, analyzing funnel data and sharing critical insights with management team
  • A passion to learn and improve quickly as a Sales team
  • Exceptional written, verbal, communication and presentation skills
