Director of Sales
Industry: Cable/Automation/Manufacturing
Location: Birmingham, MI
Purpose: We are seeking a Director of Sales with proven, demonstrated sales and management experience within a manufacturing organization. You should have experience selling engineered products or technical services to multiple C-Level/decision making corporations.
Primary Functions: The Director of Sales will be responsible for growing a small internal sales team, overseeing estimating and developing distribution channels.
Requirements:
- Experience selling and/or managing within a manufacturing sales organization
- Strong relationship building and consultative sales experience
- 5+ years in a sales leadership or business development role
- Experience selling to large companies with 3-6+ month sales cycles
- Experience in a Top Producing service and product sales role, while managing a small team
- Comfortable traveling up to 25% of the time
- Must be able to communicate your previous sales pipeline, sales quotas and growth initiatives
- Demonstrated strategic planning and problem solving abilities
You will be expected to provide clear, documented pipeline closing conversions and sales quotas that have been met.
Preferred Related Experience In: Assembly, industrial, batteries, servo’s, resistance welding, engineering, project managers, buss bars, wiring harnesses, electrical, welding, fabrication, painting, machining, prototypes, castings, defense, aerospace, automotive, consultative sales, consulting, value selling, leadership
