Staff Accountant/Jr. Staff Accountant
Reports to: Controller

In this hands-on role, you will be initially handling operational accounting tasks for Neo4j US
entity in the areas of AR, AP and payroll, with a potential to grow and expand the responsibilities
as the company grow. The ideal candidate would be someone who doesn’t mind doing buts and
bolts of accounting, enjoys ambiguity and ever-changing tasks and processes, and is tech-savvy.
Duties:
Accounts Receivables and Sales Support
Work closely with Senior Revenue Accountant for the following tasks:
Provide sales support: Assists sales team and SalesOps with prospective customer requests and
on-boarding documentation.
Collections: Regularly follow up with customers for over-due invoices and work with Sales Reps
to resolve payment issues as needed. Provide cash collection forecasts for management review.
Posts customer payments in the system.
Billings: Create re-billable expenses for Professional Services. May eventually own
billings/revenue recognitions for professional services and/or our Database as a Service
offerings.
Learn internal systems relating to AR/Revenues and assist with process improvements projects.
Payroll
Process semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll for US based workforce via TriNet
Calculate supplemental wages upon Leave of Absence based on the company policy and the
state payroll regulations.
Respond to payroll inquiries and requests by employees and other internal/external users of
payroll data. Work with HR and TriNet to resolve any payroll issues.
Accounts Payable
Review and approve or escalate employee expenses via Expensify.
Assist with company credit card expenses entries during month-end close.
Other
Work on ad-hoc projects (which there will be many!)
Assist other areas of accounting (tax, audits, etc.) as needed
Adhere to strict deadline schedules around meeting payroll schedules, month-end close, sales
tax submissions, etc.
This is a salaried (non-exempt) position.
Qualifications and Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
One to two years of general accounting experiences.
Tech-savvy
International exposure is a plus
