Sales Associate/Key Holder

Do you love engaging customers and the thrill of the sale? Yummi Candles is looking for staff who will take initiative and create an experience for every person that walk in.

    Position:

    As our front-line staff, you will be introducing customers to all things Yummi and provide in depth knowledge of our products and company. As an in-store candle pro you will help customers choose the perfect candles or accessories for their needs or wants. You will be able to lead and educate candle making processes in our new workshop. Get in-store sales and systems training and take part in our factory tour and candle making knowledge sessions at our headquarters. Enjoy discounts and select products.


    Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

    • Greeting customers; providing outstanding customer service whilst answering any questions.
    • Operating cash registers, managing financial transactions, and balancing drawers.
    • Achieving sales targets and merchandising goals, while increasing store sales.
    • Creating replenishment orders and receiving incoming goods.
    • Lead and demonstrate our candle making workshops to our customers in a positive and fun manner.
    • Educate our customers about candle making, candle care and safety.
    • Continual learning of product and systems knowledge.
    • Maintaining an orderly and aesthetic appearance throughout the sales floor.
    • Introducing promotions and opportunities to customers; cross-selling products.
    • Complete daily, weekly and monthly reporting modules for headquarters.
    • Contribute to the positive development of reviews and customer feedback.
    • Social media and marketing tasks.

    Requirements:

    • Post-Secondary education.
    • Retail sales experience.
    • Smart serve certified
    • A professional and polished appearance for the work place.
    • Maintain a positive attitude and focus on customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.
    • The ability to effectively communicate verbally, read, write, and perform basic math.
    • The ability to stand, walk, stock shelves and maintain sales floor order for extended periods of time.
