Role Summary:  The Senior Accountant’s role is to lead the day to day financing and accounting activities and will assist the CFO with building a robust accounting function. The Senior Accountant possesses excellent people skills with an ability to understand and engage with project team members, senior management, internal and external customers, consultants and other related stakeholders.

Primary Job Responsibilities
Ensure timely, accurate completion of all billing and collections activities
Manage payroll activities and internal expense reporting
Assist with the development and implementation of a monthly reporting and close process
Assist the CFO with the preparation of annual budget and all required updates
Assist in evaluating, recommending, documenting and monitoring appropriate internal controls
Completion of periodic reporting for corporate, business leaders, senior executives, investors, and board members
Work with the CFO to establish and implement departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
Support the needs of the organization by understanding the roles, responsibilities and activities performed by organizational functions; understanding the interrelationship among organizational functions, and collaborating across functional and organizational lines.

Required Education/Experience/Skill:
  • 2+ years of experience in Accounting; SaaS experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s in Accounting
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; effective at communicating with cross-functional team regarding deliverables, schedules, and issues.  
  • Strong and effective decision making skills necessary to manage and implement change in complex situations. 
  • Highly developed Excel skills

Preferred Experience:
  • Big 4 public accounting experience 
  • CPA
  • SaaS experience
  • IPO experience or have worked on public company audit & financial statement preparation
