Job Title: Delivery Driver
Reports To: Pharmacist in Charge
Job Time: Part time with possible transition to full time
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Drives automobile or truck to deliver Pharmacy's prescriptions, DMEPOS products and medical supplies to customer's home or place of business.
  • Records delivery transactions upon customer receipt.
  • Records delivery information in BestRX delivery application
  • Calls customers to establish delivery time, if applicable.
  • Listens to and resolves delivery/service complaints.
  • Collects or picks up rejected or recalled DMEPOS products.
  • Loads delivery vehicle
  • Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
  • Cleans inside/outside of truck.
  • Performs routine maintenance on truck.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education and/or Experience 
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous delivery driving experience preferred
  • Valid drivers license
  • Clean driving record
  • Language Skills - Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Mathematical Skills - Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
