You’ll join our Sales team to assist in development, management and implementation of new retailer accounts and programs including the targeting of new retailer accounts as well as the coordination and distribution of sales materials such as point-of-purchase retail displays, coordination of retailer events, and the updating and distribution of training materials. This role will be heavily involved in the development of our retailer channel pipeline including identifying and recruiting potential retail partners in various channels globally. This role requires the ability to drive work initiatives successfully in an ambiguous and fast-moving environment with minimal established infrastructure, while collaborating and communicating effectively with cross-functional teams across Motiv who are supporting the go-to-market effort.
What you will do:
· Assist Company in meeting and exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals by creating and developing a pipeline of qualified resellers for Motiv products globally.
· Develop and maintain relationships with Retailers, Distributors, Manufacturers Reps, and possible 3rd party Business Partners. To be successful in this role you must be outgoing, hardworking and driven to succeed.
· Establish a working relationship and maintain ongoing communication with Motiv Customers, 3rd Party Providers and your fellow Motiv team members.
· Maintain a positive attitude with all members of the Motiv team to create and adhere to a pleasant and positive work environment
· Maintain and respect open communication with all team member to improve overall office operations.
· Complete product set-up up templates required to establish direct retail relationships including certifications, product marketing assets and sample request.
Responsibilities
· Identify and contact potential, distribution, retail and B2B partners to develop pipeline of new opportunities for Motiv.
· Track and continuously update the Motiv pipeline in our database and manage leads through the pipeline process to successfully turn the lead into an authorized Motiv Reseller or Distributor.
· Attain quarterly revenue targets and successfully complete quarterly OKR goals as assigned by manager.
· Assist our Operations team in resolving any issues that might arise on a daily basis during the processing of all retail customer orders.
· Create Sales Forecast for assigned accounts by sku and maintain an +/- accuracy of 80% or greater.
· Negotiate contract agreements with new retail and distribution partners as needed to expand Motiv’s retail base.
· Work directly with Sales Operations and DCL personnel to ensure smooth, accurate shipping of orders, training materials and POP displays as needed.
· Partner with Channel Marketing to create approved displays, promotions, copy, and training programs.
· Work with Sales Operations to coordinate the prioritization of orders based on importance, inventory levels, and shipping timelines
· Understand product inventory and backlog reports; effectively utilizing such information when processing orders and communicating with Sales team and Customers
· Proactively call on current customers to increasing existing sales.
· Develop relationships and provide on-going support to Motiv’s Customers and Manufacturing Reps. including tacking orders, completing product set-up templates, and fulfilling catalog requests, samples requests, etc.
· Respond to Rep and Customer requests within region for Motiv’s images, sales collateral, POP, etc.
· Create and update customer database information in Motiv’s database; and scrub data on a regular basis to ensure accurate reporting
· Update team with sales progress at weekly sales meetings (have information prepared and bring to meetings)
· Provide Sales Management, Product Development and company Executive team with ongoing customer feedback.
· Represent Motiv at trade shows and events as needed to gain better understanding of customer, market and establish face-to-face relationships with regional Accounts (to be coordinated based on work schedule and event location)
Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree
· 2-3 Years work experience required, preferably in Sales or Marketing
· Consumer Electronics or Retail Sales experience a big plus.
· Comfortable on phone interacting with new and existing Customers and Distributors for several hours a day.
· Ability to negotiate pricing, calculate margins, and provide forecasting and ROI analysis.
· Excellent Customer Service skills a must; experience in problem-solving a plus
· Need to be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and a conscientious team player
· Must possess excellent time management skills and attention to detail
· Must have the ability to travel up to 40% of the time, including internationally to Canada.
· Sports enthusiast and technology interests a plus
· Able to think on his/her feet and make creative suggestions to solve issues
