    About the Position
    English Testing Canada is seeking a Marketing Assistant to assist with a wide range of tasks relating to the marketing of ETC, IELTS, and CELPIP.  As a digital marketer, the role involves handling social media accounts, managing Google Ads, and developing content for online platforms.  The assistant also conducts phone, web, and in-person surveys; tracks the results of marketing campaigns; and assists in the development of new marketing projects.  With such varied responsibilities, this role requires strong skills with both self-directed independent tasks and collaborative group work.  

    Reporting & Relationships

    • The Marketing Assistant reports directly to the Education & Policy Manager, and alternately to the Operations Manager and Director as needed.

    Compensation & Benefits
    We offer remuneration commensurate with experience, and in accordance with our established salary guidelines. 

    The hiring range for this position is $37,000-$45,000 per annum.

    Responsibilities/Accountabilities
    • Develops content for social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.

    • Develops materials for publishing on online and offline platforms: marketing reports, brochures, advertising copy

    • Interacts with clients on social media while maintaining ETC’s brand ideals and superior customer service

    • Handles the Google Ads platform and makes changes to ads and budgets in coordination with the Senior Management Team

    • Submits and spearheads ideas for marketing programs designed to enhance and grow ETC’s brand

    • Other duties as required

    About You
    As the Administrative/Marketing Assistant, you are as comfortable with highly directed work as you are with creative and flexible projects.  With your social media and marketing experience, you are able to relate to and reach to the diverse communities served by English Testing Canada.  With your broad technical skills, you are someone who others turn to when their technology goes wrong.  Your experience with secure and confidential materials allows you to navigate the highly structured world of testing with ease.  You are able to learn and implement new software skills quickly, and your attention to detail means that you catch mistakes before they happen.  You keep repetitive tasks fun by continually seeking to improve the way you handle processes.  As a valued member of the ETC team, you contribute to making every day a smooth and successful one.

    Experience/Skills/Education

    Required: 

    • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, punctuality, and work habits
    • Commitment to equity and principles of fair testing
    • Top-notch writing and copy-editing skills
    • Self-driven and highly motivated team player
    • Proven ability to quickly learn new software
    • Able to confidently manage multiple priorities
    • Skilled with Mac and PC computers, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite
    • Degree in Marketing or equivalent experience

    Preferred: 

    • Prior exposure to secure and confidential materials
    • Familiarity with IELTS software including ORS, IAM, and IWAS is an asset
    • Previous experience in the standardized testing sector
