Software Engineer, Frontend

About Us

At Muve, we're thoughtfully reimagining the entire healthcare delivery model for total joint replacement. We believe in a better way for patients to experience it, a better way for care providers to practice it, and a better way for payers to support it. Our engineering team is building the systems and tools to get us there, and we want you to join us!

The Impact You’ll Have at Muve

Our engineering team works closely with our clinicians and providers to build software that enables an efficient clinical workflow, while also collecting valuable data to improve our care delivery model and put us at the forefront of value-driven care. You'll use your knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to work alongside our frontend team improving and expanding our browser-based client application, building an interface that our users love. You'll collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Backend Engineering to define new features and the APIs to power them. You'll be deeply involved in conceiving and building next-generation tools for our clinicians to help them deliver the best care imaginable for our patients.

Role Objectives

  • Be an integral part of our engineering team, building a robust, sustainable browser-based client application using modern JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Employ a product mindset in understanding our users and business stakeholders to deliver meaningful value for both.
  • Work closely with our backend team to define the APIs that power the client application.
  • Take a hands-on approach to supporting our users by responding to occasional support requests.

What will make you a great fit for this role?

  • Around 2 years developing browser-based JavaScript/HTML/CSS client applications.
  • An eye for design and UX and a tendency to sweat the small stuff.
  • A strong desire to grow your technical and interpersonal skills and a growth mindset that lets you convert constructive feedback into action.
  • A willingness to pair program when it makes sense. We don't practice it 100% of the time, but it's one of our favorite tools for conveying knowledge and working through larger decisions.
  • A strategy for being successful working remotely. We have an office in Denver, but our engineering team works from home the vast majority of the time.

But what about technology? What specific tools do you need to know?

We use React to manage the user interface, Apollo to handle state and talk to the API via GraphQL,  Ramda and a functional programming style for building business logic, and Glamorous for handling style. We're happy to teach you any and/or all of them! As long as you've got some experience with modern JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, you'll be able to learn our stack in no time.

Life is short.  Do something that matters!
