Are you ready to join a well funded, fast-growing startup team working to address a major environmental issue? MultiSensor Scientific is developing a groundbreaking optical gas imaging system for gas leak detection and quantification used by inspectors and operators in oil & gas, utility and other industries. Man-made methane emissions account for 16% of global climate change and fixing methane leaks is one of the lowest cost climate mitigation measure. The Engineering team at MultiSensor is designing and developing exciting new technologies integrating both custom hardware and software involving imaging sensors, optics, embedded systems, image processing and pattern recognition. 

MultiSensor Scientific is looking for a talented and motivated Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join a multidisciplinary team developing a complex software system for our gas imaging sensors. Members of our team have a deep understanding of engineering principles, are self-motivated, able to multitask, and work well in a dynamic collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage a build, test, and release process utilizing a Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD) toolchain for a complex embedded system of firmware, software and user-interface code

  • Document and follow best practices to improve build, release and CI/CD processes

  • Design and develop automated software build and test scripts in C/C++, as well as factory test methods to support hardware QC

  • Diagnose and track software and hardware  bugs, formulate solutions

 
Qualifications & Requirements:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related discipline

  • 3+ years work experience, preferably testing software with a hardware component

  • Experience with C/C++, Python, and CMake as well as scripting languages such as Bash

  • Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins or Travis for software deployed on hardware

  • Experience with software configuration management such as Git

  • Experience with release engineering and automated build and test management for software and hardware systems

  • Experience with Windows and Linux/UNIX operating systems

  • Proficient problem solver, careful attention to detail, able to analyze and debug software issues
