Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the planning, organization, direction, supervision, and evaluation of all the nursing services provided in the center.
- Ensures nursing department compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
- Implements center’s nursing core programs.
- Keep records and reports concerning resident care.
- Ensures the orientation and training of nursing services personnel.
- Maintain the Nursing department within budget.
- Enforce all center policies and procedures.
Requirements of the Position:
- Current nursing (RN) license in Wisconsin.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Director of Nursing in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
- At least 3 years of nursing leadership experience.
- Exceptional financial and management skills.
- Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule and occasional travel.
- Ability to relate well with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other center staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in written and verbal English.
- Interest in working with long-term care residents and the elderly.
- Meets all health requirements, as required by law.
- Basic working knowledge with computers and applications.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
