Modern Electron is looking for talented graduate student interns in Mechanical Engineering and related fields. As a member of our Full Device Engineering team, you will join an interdisciplinary group of scientists and engineers working on experiments developing and testing Modern Electron’s cutting edge thermionic converter technology. You will work closely with a senior scientist or engineer on team-based development projects. This role involves design analysis as well as hands-on work including designing/building/testing parts, fixtures, assemblies, and test stands. Modern Electron’s team is a tight-knit and data-driven organization, and our interns have regularly spearheaded projects and co-authored patents.
Modern Electron is looking for talented student interns with a passion for energy technology who are currently pursuing a Master’s or PhD degree in a Mechanical or Industrial Engineering major. You must be able to complete a minimum of 10 weeks full-time commitment (40+ hours per week) and demonstrate a willingness to learn from others quickly on the job.
